Two-thirds is the fixed share for four categories:

1. two or more daughters;
2. two or more granddaughters through a son when there are no direct sons;
3. two or more full sisters; and
4. two or more consanguine sisters.

One-third is the fixed share for two categories:

1. two or more uterine siblings—male and female alike; and
2. the mother, provided the deceased has left no inheriting descendant and no group of brothers or sisters. However, if the heirs consist of a father, a mother, and a husband or wife, the mother receives one-third⦗2⦘ of what remains after the spouse’s share.

One-sixth is the fixed share for seven categories:

1. the mother when there is an inheriting descendant or a group of brothers and sisters;
2. any grandmother—up to three in number—of equal degree, when the mother is absent;
3. a single uterine sibling;
4. one or more granddaughters through a son when accompanied by a direct daughter;
5. a consanguine sister when accompanied by a full sister;
6. the father when an inheriting descendant exists; and
7. likewise the grandfather, who never receives less than one-sixth in any circumstance.
