Standing at ʿArafah. Its time extends from dawn on the Day of ʿArafah until dawn on the Day of Sacrifice1. Whoever is present in ʿArafah for even an instant during that period while legally competent—whether merely passing through, asleep, menstruating, or unaware that the place is ʿArafah—his hajj is valid, except if he is drunk2, insane, or unconscious. Even if all the pilgrims, or all save a few of them, were to stand by mistake on the eighth or the tenth day, it would still suffice.
-
Tawaf al-Ifadah. Its time3 begins at midnight of the Night of Sacrifice for the one who has stood at ʿArafah; otherwise, it begins after the standing, and it has no fixed end.

The saʿy between Safa and Marwah.
The obligations (wajibat) are seven: entering ihram at the miqat; remaining in ʿArafah until sunset for anyone who stood there by day; spending the Night of Sacrifice at Muzdalifah until after midnight4; spending the nights of Tashriq at Mina5; stoning the pillars (jamarat) in sequence; shaving or clipping the hair; and the Farewell Tawaf.
The pillars of the ʿumrah are three: ihram, tawaf, and saʿy.
Its obligations6 are two: entering ihram for it from outside the Sanctuary (al-ḥill) and shaving or clipping the hair.
