his methodology! Knowledge—as is well known—is ever advancing; it admits no stagnation. Each day the presses release new scholarly sources previously unknown, enabling serious researchers to improve their books, refine them, and enrich them with fresh benefits and investigations that had once been unavailable to most people.
For that reason, when I observed that Fiqh al-Sunnah had remained frozen through the years exactly as its author left it nearly half a century ago, despite its being reprinted time and again, I resolved to revisit my own Tamām al-Minnah fī al-Taʿlīq ʿalā Fiqh al-Sunnah. I revised it, added several issues, and incorporated many valuable points—the most important of which I mentioned at the beginning of this statement. All of this prompted me to reprint the book and present it to the public in its new garb, asking the Exalted Lord to make it, and all my writings, righteous deeds done solely for His sake, granting no share therein to anyone else.
