and likewise Yahyā ibn Ḥammād narrated it from Hārūn Abū Muslim with the same wording.
Through Ibn Khuzaymah’s route it was also recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān—400 in Mawārid al-Ẓamʾān—and by al-Ḥākim, 1/218, via yet another chain in which Salm ibn Qutaybah is the sole transmitter. Al-Ḥākim remarked, “Its chain is sound,” and al-Dhahabī agreed with him.
This collation and critical review prove that Hārūn ibn Muslim is a known narrator, not an unknown one, and that his isnād is authentic—or at the very least ḥasan—and, when coupled with the preceding hadith of Anas, it is unquestionably ṣaḥīḥ. Allah knows best.
