If not, what possible benefit is there in mentioning them?!
As for the first ḥadith, Ibn al-Sunnī lists it under number 101 with the chain: Yaḥyā ibn Abī Zakariyyā al-Nasāʾī—about whom Ibn Ḥibbān said, “It is impermissible to narrate from him”—from ʿUbād ibn Saʿīd—al-Dhahabī commented, “He is nothing”—from Mubashshir ibn Abī al-Malīḥ—whom Ibn Ḥajar charged with reporting a rejected narration. This isnād is darkness piled upon darkness!
The second ḥadith appears in the same work under number 81 with the chain: Isḥāq ibn Khālid ibn Yazīd al-Bālsī—Ibn ʿAdī said, “He related several rejected reports that prove his weakness”—from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Qurashī—censured by Imām Aḥmad—through Khuṣayf, who is weak on account of his poor retention and the confusion that afflicted him at the end of his life.
