In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Grantor of Mercy.
Preface to the Second Edition
All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all creation. May peace and blessings be upon the Master of the messengers, who said—according to the two Ṣaḥīḥ collections—“When Allah intends good for someone, He grants him understanding of the religion,” and upon his noble family, his blessed companions, and all who follow their jurisprudence and guidance until the Day of Judgment.
To proceed: this is the second edition of my book, Tamām al-Minna fī al-Taʿlīq ʿalā Fiqh al-Sunnah. Almost a quarter of a century has elapsed since the first edition, and only recently—after settling in Amman, Jordan—have I been able to revisit the work and prepare it for reprinting. By Allah’s grace I have succeeded in publishing a number of my writings here under my own supervision and direct proofreading, aided by several employees of the Islamic Library. In this way I have been able to prevent serious errors, great or small, and to avoid the loss of lines that can occur during typesetting or photocopying when careful oversight is lacking.
So far, under my supervision, we have managed to print several works; for example, volume 3 of Silsilat al-Aḥādīth al-Ḍaʿīfah (Series of Weak Ḥadīths), with volume 4 currently in press, and volume 4 of Silsilat al-Aḥādīth al-Ṣaḥīḥah (Series of Authentic Ḥadīths), with volume 5 now in production. Praise be to Allah, by whose favor righteous endeavors come to fruition.
