Allah has encompassed everything in knowledge” (al-Talaq 65:12). And He says: “Indeed, We created the heavens and the earth and whatever lies between them in six days, and no weariness touched Us” (Qaf 50:38).
• As for His wisdom, exalted be He, it is consummate—utterly free of frivolity and all-embracing with respect to His creation and His legislation. Allah the Exalted says: “We did not create the heavens and the earth and what lies between them in play; We created them only in truth” (al-Dukhan 44:38-39). He also says: “He who created death and life so that He might test you as to which of you is best in deeds” (al-Mulk 67:2). And He says: “That is the judgment of Allah; He judges between you, and Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise” (al-Mumtahanah 60:10).
His wisdom, like all His attributes, is beyond the grasp of created beings. We may be unable to discern the wisdom behind what He creates or legislates, while at other times we may perceive a portion of it according to what Allah discloses to us.
In the same way, every attribute that Allah the Exalted has affirmed for Himself is an attribute of perfection, unmarred by any deficiency whatsoever.
