• Their method is to affirm the divine names for Allah, Exalted is He, while denying the attributes, treating the names as nothing more than proper designations. Some among them even assert that the names are synonymous, so that al-ʿAlīm (the All-Knowing) and al-Qadīr (the All-Powerful)
