Al-Ḥākim 3/291 recorded it, as did ʿAbd al-Razzaq 11/6/19742; through the latter’s chain it was also transmitted by al-Ṭabarānī in al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr 2/12/1178 and, from him, by Abū Nuʿaym in al-Ḥilyah 1/350. Al-Ḥākim said, “Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs,” and al-Dhahabī concurred. Their judgment is correct, and this route is other than that of ʿAbd al-Razzaq.
(Authentic) ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith ibn Nawfal said:
“I saw Usāmah ibn Zayd —may Allah be pleased with him—sitting in the assembly⦗1⦘ with one leg crossed over the other, raising his voice; I thought he was chanting the nasb⦗2⦘.”
ʿAbd al-Razzaq recorded it (#19739), and through his route al-Bayhaqī 1/224; its chain is authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs.
(Authentic) Wahb ibn Kaysān reported that ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Zubayr—who was reclining—said, “Bilāl used to chant.”
A man asked, “He chanted?” So Ibn al-Zubayr sat upright and said, “And which one of the Emigrants have I not heard chanting the nasb?”
ʿAbd al-Razzaq narrated it (#19741) in abridged form, and al-Bayhaqī 10/230—whose wording is given here—with a chain authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs.
