Qira al-DayfIbn Abi al-Dunya

12 – Yusuf b. Musa narrated to us; Jarir narrated to us, from al-Mughirah, from Mujahid (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:

“I set out for al-Sarāt. After I had performed the Maghrib prayer, some people came inviting me to supper, but I kept refusing to turn toward them—my only concern was the prayer. They finally picked me up and said, ‘Do not blame us; whenever a guest stays with us we do not eat until he is fully satisfied, or at least until he has eaten.’”
