Jerusalem each day with favour. Allah Most High gave the Prophet ﷺ al-Burāq, which carried him to Jerusalem. When Adam, peace be upon him, died in India, he left instructions that he be buried in Jerusalem. Abraham likewise instructed Isaac that, upon their deaths, they be buried in the land of Jerusalem. Mary died in the land of Jerusalem, and Abraham, peace be upon him, migrated from Kūthā to Jerusalem. The Ark and the divine tranquillity were taken up from the land of Jerusalem. The Muslims prayed facing Jerusalem for a time, and the Prophet ﷺ saw Mālik, the keeper of Hell, in Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is the place of gathering and resurrection. On the Day of Resurrection, Paradise will be brought to Jerusalem, the bridge to Paradise will be set up, and the scales will be placed. Isrāfīl will blow the Trumpet upon the Rock in Jerusalem, calling: “O decayed bones, scattered flesh, and severed sinews! Come forth to your reckoning! Your souls will be breathed into you, and you will be recompensed for your deeds.” On the Day of Resurrection, people will depart separately from Jerusalem for Paradise and Hell. This is His saying, Most High: “On that Day they will be divided, and on that Day they will be presented.”

Zechariah became Mary’s guardian in Jerusalem, and Jesus will kill the Dajjāl in the land of Jerusalem. Allah Most High taught Solomon the language of birds in Jerusalem, and in Jerusalem Solomon asked his Lord for a kingdom that would belong to no one after him. The great fish upon whose back the earths rest has its head where the sun rises, its tail in the west, and its middle beneath Jerusalem. Whoever would delight in walking in one of the gardens of Paradise should walk upon the Rock of Jerusalem. On the Day of Resurrection, a caller will call from a place near the Rock of Jerusalem. And He said: “The land which My righteous servants shall inherit” is Jerusalem.
