Jaʿfar ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid wrote to me, stating that Saʿīd ibn Salām told us, ‘al-Musayyab Abū Zuhayr narrated to us: I heard Abū Jaʿfar al-Manṣūr recount from his father, from his grandfather, from Ibn ʿAbbās that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “al-ʿAbbās is my uncle, my executor, and my inheritor.”’
This report is rejected, and Jaʿfar is not reliable. (1)
