Wakiʿ reported—through Sufyān, from Ibn Jurayj, from Mujāhid—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed three pilgrimages: two while he was still in Mecca before the Hijrah, and the Farewell Pilgrimage. Allah knows best.

Toward the end of that year al-Aswad al-ʿAnsī rose in rebellion; his affair will be discussed later.
