Al-Ḥākim said, “He died in 314 AH.”
Aḥmad ibn Hibat Allāh told us, on the authority of al-Muʾayyad ibn Muḥammad al-Ṭūsī; Aḥmad ibn Sahl al-Masājidī likewise transmitted to us. (ḥ)
Aḥmad also related to us, from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd Allāh; Wajīh ibn Ṭāhir transmitted to us, and he likewise reported from Zaynab al-Shaʿriyya that Muḥammad ibn Manṣūr al-Ḥurḍī informed her—and Wajīh as well—saying:
“Yaʿqūb ibn Aḥmad informed us; al-Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad al-Makhladī informed us; Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī Ḥamzah al-Balkhī informed us; Mūsā ibn al-Ḥakam al-Shaṭawī narrated to us; Ḥafṣ ibn Ghiyāth narrated to us, from Ṭalḥa ibn Yaḥyā, from ʿĀʾisha bint Ṭalḥa, from ʿĀʾisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said:
“The Prophet ﷺ came upon the funeral of a child from the Anṣār. I remarked, ‘Good news for him—he is a little bird among the birds of Paradise.’ He replied, ‘How would you know, O ʿĀʾisha! Allah created Paradise and set aside for it its people while they were still in the loins of their fathers, and He created the Fire and set aside for it its people while they were still in the loins of their fathers.’”
A group of transmitters related this ḥadith from Ṭalḥa. It is one of the reports objected to in his corpus, yet it was recorded by Muslim, Abū Dāwūd, al-Nasāʾī, and Ibn Mājah. (1)
