(2) All its transmitters are trustworthy. It is also recorded by al-Tabari in his Tafsir, 1/40, through Abu Kurayb, who related it from al-Muharibi and Yunus b. Bukayr, both from Ibn Ishaq with the same chain. Al-Tabari likewise narrates (1/40) through Abu Kurayb, from Talq b. Ghannam, from Uthman b. al-Aswad b. Musa al-Makki, from Ibn Abi Mulayka, who said: “I saw Mujahid asking Ibn Abbas about the interpretation of the Quran while holding a tablet; Ibn Abbas would tell him, ‘Write,’ until Mujahid had asked him about the entire exegesis.” This chain is sound.
