As for Ibn ʿUqda, he recorded Ibn al-Durays’s death as occurring in the year 295 AH—yet the earlier date is the more reliable.
Abu al-Faḍl Aḥmad ibn Hibat Allah (1), Abu ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi ʿAsrūn, and Zaynab bint ʿUmar (2) narrated to us, from al-Muʾayyad ibn Muhammad al-Ṭūsī; in turn, Muhammad ibn al-Faḍl al-Farāwī (3) related to us.
They also transmitted to us from Abu Rūḥ al-Harawī; Tamīm ibn Abi Saʿīd likewise informed us.
They further reported to us from Zaynab al-Shaʿriyya; Ismāʿīl ibn Abi al-Qāsim told us; they said:
ʿUmar ibn Aḥmad ibn Masrūr informed us, Ismāʿīl ibn Nujayd informed us, Muhammad ibn Ayyūb ibn Durays narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Sinān al-ʿAwqī narrated to us, Ibrāhīm ibn Ṭahmān narrated to us from Budayl, from ʿAbd Allah ibn Shaqīq, from Maysarah al-Fajr, who said:
I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, when were you written down as a prophet?” He replied, “I was inscribed as a prophet while Adam was between soul and body.” (4)
By this same chain, reaching Muhammad ibn al-Durays, Muhammad ibn Kathīr informed us

(2) Zaynab bint Umar b. Kindi b. Saad b. Ali, known as Umm Muhammad al-Dimashqiyya al-Kindiyya, settled in Baalbek. She was a venerable and pious shaykha, widely known for her charitable works; she performed the pilgrimage, built a ribat (hostel-convent) and endowed it for benevolent purposes. She died at the end of the month of Jumada al-Akhira in the year 699 AH. Source: al-Dhahabi, Mashyakha, MS folios 50–51.
(3) Ibn Hajar states in al-Tabsir, p. 1100: “There is a disagreement whether the first consonant should be pronounced with a damma or a fatha; Ibn Nuqtah says the fatha is more common and better known. ‘Al-Farawi’ is a nisba to Farawah, a small town on the outskirts of Khwarazm built by Ibn Tahir, where a group established a ribat.”
(4) The chain of transmission is sound. Ibn Saad records it in al-Tabaqat 7/60 through Maadh b. Hani al-Bahrani, who related it from Ibrahim b. Tahman with this same isnad. Ahmad also transmits it (5/59) via Abd al-Rahman b. Mahdi, from Mansur b. Saad, from Badil b. Maysarah; this chain is likewise authentic. Additional reports on the topic appear: from Abu Hurayra in al-Tirmidhi, no. 3613; from an unnamed Companion in Ahmad 4/66 and 5/37; from al-Irbad b. Sariyah in Ahmad 4/127, Ibn Hibban 2093 and al-Hakim 2/600; and from Abd Allah b. Abi al-Jad‘aa in Ibn Saad 7/59.
