In Dhu al-Ḥijjah, Umm Ruman bint ʿAmir ibn ʿUwaymir al-Kinaniyyah, the mother of Aisha—may Allah be pleased with her—passed away. Al-Bukhari recorded, through the narration of Masruq, a hadith from her, but its chain is interrupted because he did not meet her; if he did meet her, then the date of her death given here must be mistaken.
