is from ʿIkrimah and is recorded by al-Bukhārī: “so that He may admit believing men and believing women into Gardens…” (al-Fath 5).
Hammām said: Qatādah narrated to us from Anas who said, “When the verse, ‘Indeed, We have granted you a manifest victory…’ (al-Fath 1) down to the end of the passage was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on his return from al-Hudaybiyah, while his Companions were steeped in grief and dejection, he declared, ‘A verse has come down to me that is dearer to me than the whole world.’ After he recited it, a man asked, ‘Allah has clarified what He will do for you, but what will He do for us?’ So the following verse was revealed: ‘so that He may admit believing men and believing women into Gardens…’ (al-Fath 5).” Recorded by Muslim.
