Muhammad ibn Abī Masʿūd reported: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Shurayḥ informed us; Abu al-Qāsim al-Baghawī narrated to us; al-ʿAlāʾ ibn Mūsā dictated to us in the year 227 AH, saying: al-Layth ibn Saʿd related to us, from Abū al-Zubayr al-Makkī, from Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, “None of those who pledged allegiance beneath the tree will enter the Fire.” Al-Nasāʾī recorded the report.
