ibn Ḥafṣ ibn Dhakwān, from the freedman of al-Ḥuraqa, from Abū Hurayrah, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Indeed Allah—exalted is He—recited Ṭā Hā and Yā Sīn a thousand years before He created Adam. When the angels heard the Qur’an they said, ‘Blessed is the community upon whom this will be sent down; blessed are the chests that will carry it; and blessed are the tongues that will voice it.’”
This ḥadith is munkar; both Ibn Muhājir and his teacher are weak. (1)
Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Ghanī al-Dhahabī, Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Shiblī, Sunqur al-Zaynī, ʿUmar ibn Muḥammad al-Warrāq, ʿĪsā ibn Abī Muḥammad, al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī, and others told us:
ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar informed us; Abū al-Waqt al-Sijzī informed us; Abū al-Ḥasan al-Dāʾūdī informed us; Abū Muḥammad ibn Ḥammūyah informed us; ʿĪsā ibn ʿUmar informed us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān the ḥāfiẓ informed us; Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mundhir informed us; ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Thābit al-Zuhrī narrated to us; Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to me, from his uncle Mūsā ibn ʿUqbah, from Kurayb, from Ibn ʿAbbās, who said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a slight gap between his two front teeth; whenever he spoke it appeared as though light was emanating from between them.
Al-Tirmidhī also recorded it in al-Shamāʾil (2) through the transmission of ʿAbd Allāh.
