They also reported on the authority of Ibn al-Muqayyar: Naṣr Allāh al-Qazzāz informed us; Ibn Nabḥān informed us (ḥ).
Al-Ḥasan ibn ʿAlī informed us; Ibn al-Lattī informed us; Abū al-Maʿālī ibn al-Ḥabbān informed us; al-Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad al-Sarrāj informed us. They said:
Abū ʿAlī ibn Shādhān informed us; ʿUthmān ibn Aḥmad informed us; Yaḥyā ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us; Ḥammād ibn Masʿadah informed us; Hishām ibn ʿUrwah informed us, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah:
that the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—said, “Seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan (2).”
He meant: the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr).
This is an authentic hadith, containing a directive for the Ummah to search for Laylat al-Qadr (3).
