Expedition of Qarqarat al-Kudr:

al-Waqidi relates that it occurred in Muharram of the third year AH, at a site near Maʿdin Banū Sulaym. The Prophet ﷺ appointed Ibn Umm Maktum to oversee Medina in his absence.

Word reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that a force from the tribes of Sulaym and Ghaṭafān had gathered at that place. When he reached their encampments he found no one there, though he did encounter some of their herdsmen, among them a youth named Yasār. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then turned back, having seized the livestock, and he drove it away
