Among them are:

30 – Ḥajjāj ibn Ḥajjāj al-Bāhilī, the Basran, nicknamed al-Aḥwal (the cross-eyed) (Bukhārī, Muslim).
He preserved only a few reports from Anas, and he also narrated from Qatādah and Abū al-Zubayr.
Those who transmitted from him include Ibrāhīm ibn Ṭahmān—his principal narrator—Yazīd ibn Zurayʿ, and a number of others.
He is an authoritative transmitter; yet the ḥāfiẓ ʿAbd al-Ghanī confused him with Ḥajjāj al-Aswad and thus erred.
Ibn Khuzaymah said, “Ḥajjāj ibn Ḥajjāj is one of the meticulous preservers among Qatādah’s followers.”
The present author says: he died before 140 AH.

Among them is also:

31 – Ḥajjāj al-Aswad al-Qismallī, son of Abī Ziyād,
who was called “Ḥajjāj of the Honey-Skin” (ḥajjāj ziq al-ʿasal); he is the same Ḥajjāj ibn Abī Ziyād.
He narrated from Shahr, Abū Naḍrah, and a number of others.
A Basran, deemed truthful (ṣadūq).
His transmitters include Jaʿfar ibn Sulaymān, ʿĪsā ibn Yūnus, and Rawḥ.
He was counted among the devout, and Ibn Maʿīn declared him reliable.
He died in the year forty-something and one hundred—that is, in the mid-140s AH.
