The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, ‘Do you not realize? Perhaps he once spoke about matters that did not concern him, or withheld wealth that could never benefit him.’ (1)

Later you regretted it, and now I must narrate from a man who relates from you.’”’

“I was travelling with the Prophet ﷺ when he passed by a withered tree. He struck it with the staff that was in his hand, and its leaves scattered. He then said, ‘Indeed, saying Subḥānallāh (Glory be to Allah), al-ḥamdu lillāh (Praise belongs to Allah), lā ilāha illā Allāh (There is no deity but Allah), and Allāhu akbar (Allah is the Greatest) causes sins to fall away just as this tree shed its leaves.’ (2)"
