He also narrated from: his own father, Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Sammān, Abū Ṣāliḥ Bādhām, ʿAṭāʾ ibn Abī Rabāḥ, Rajāʾ ibn Ḥaywah, al-Ḥasan, Bakr al-Muzanī, Abū al-Jawzāʾ al-Rabʿī (1), ʿAmr ibn Dīnār, Abū al-Zubayr, Nāfiʿ, ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb, Abū Ḥāzim al-Ashjaʿī, ʿAṭiyyah al-ʿAwfī, Sulaymān ibn Buraydah, Ṭalḥah ibn Muṣarrif, and others.
Al-Ṭabarānī gathered the ḥadiths of Muḥammad ibn Juḥādah, and we have heard that collection.
Among those who transmitted from him are: Shuʿbah, Zuhayr ibn Muʿāwiyah, Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah, ʿAbd al-Wārith, his son Ismāʿīl ibn Muḥammad, Abū Ḥafṣ al-Abbār, Ziyād al-Bakkāʾī, Dāwūd ibn al-Zibrqān, Sharīk, ʿAbd al-Ḥakīm ibn Manṣūr, and many others.

He passed away on the road to Mecca, in the month of Ramaḍān, in the year 131 AH.
I read out to Isḥāq al-Asadī. “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a kiss for the fasting person. He replied, ‘There is no harm in it; it is only a sweet fragrance that he inhales (2).’—And Allah knows best.”
