the hadith should eat raisins.
Al-Ḥākim explained: “The raisins of the Ḥijāz are warm, sweet, and delicate, and their inherent dryness cuts phlegm.”
Ayyūb ibn Suwayd narrated from Yūnus, from al-Zuhrī:
“Al-Qāsim said to me, ‘I see you are eager in your pursuit (of knowledge). Shall I not direct you to its container?’
I replied, ‘Indeed, please do.’
He said, ‘Go to ʿAmrah bint ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, for she was reared in ʿĀʾishah’s care.’
So I went to her and found her to be an ocean that cannot be drained.”
Al-Shāfiʿī said: Ibn ʿUyaynah related, “One day al-Zuhrī narrated a report, and I said to him, ‘Give it to us without the chain.’ He answered, ‘Would you climb to the roof without a ladder?’”
Al-Walīd ibn ʿUbayd Allāh al-ʿAjlī reported from al-Zuhrī, who said, “A ḥāfiẓ—the one who masters the entire corpus of hadith—is born only once every forty years.”
Yūnus ibn Muḥammad reported: Abū Uways narrated to us:
“I asked al-Zuhrī about switching the order of phrases within a hadith. He replied, ‘This is permissible in the Qur’an (1); how much more so in hadith? So long as the meaning of the hadith is preserved, no unlawful thing is declared lawful, and no lawful thing is declared unlawful, there is no harm—in other words, provided its meaning is correctly conveyed.’”

“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed spiritual seclusion (iʿtikāf), he would extend his head toward me and I would comb his hair, and he would not enter the house except for what a person needs (2).”
