Iraq.
Others, however, said that he died in Sarakhs toward the end of 127 AH; it is also said: in 128 AH.
106 – Iyād ibn Laqīṭ al-Sadūsī al-Kūfī * (M, D, T, S)
One of the learned and reliable Tābiʿīn (Successors).
He narrated from: al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib, Abū Rimthah al-Balawī, al-Barāʾ ibn Qays, al-Ḥārith ibn Ḥassān al-Bakrī, and Yazīd ibn Muʿāwiyah al-ʿĀmirī al-Bakkāʾī, the last two being Companions.
Narrated on his authority were: his son ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Iyād; ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿUmayr—his contemporary; Misʿar ibn Kidām; Sufyān al-Thawrī; Qays ibn al-Rabīʿ; and others.
He was declared trustworthy by Yaḥyā ibn Maʿīn and al-Nasāʾī.
Abū Ḥātim said: “Sound in hadith.”
I say: He passed away before 120 AH.
107 – Iyās ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ al-Aslamī al-Madanī ** (ʿ)
Well-known, and—as far as I know—he transmitted only from his father.
Narrated from him were: Mūsā ibn ʿUbaydah, ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār, Ibn Abī Dhīb, Abū al-ʿUmays ʿUtbah ibn ʿAbd Allāh, Yaʿlā ibn al-Ḥārith al-Muḥāribī, and a number of others.
Yaḥyā ibn Maʿīn graded him trustworthy.
He died in 119 AH.
