Hishām ibn ʿUrwah narrated—from his father—from ʿĀʾishah, who said: “The Day of Buʿāth was an occasion that Allah set in advance for His Messenger. Thus, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached Medina, their chiefs were already at odds and their nobles had been slain—indeed, many were wounded as well. Allah had brought that day forward for His Messenger so that they would enter Islam.” This report is recorded by al-Bukhārī.
