Salamah, Maymūnah, Abū Rāfiʿ—the Prophet’s freedman—Hamzah ibn ʿAmr al-Aslamī, and al-Miqdād ibn al-Aswad (this is mentioned in Abū Dāwūd, al-Nasāʾī, and Ibn Mājah, though I doubt he actually met him); as well as Salamah ibn Ṣakhr al-Bayāḍī (mursal), ʿAbd Allah ibn Ḥudhāfah al-Sahmī (mursal), al-Faḍl ibn al-ʿAbbās (mursal), Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, al-Rubayyiʿ bint Muʿawwidh, and a number of other Companions.

Al-Zuhrī said, “He was among the scholars.”
Abū al-Zinād remarked, “Of the Medinan jurists and scholars I met—those whose views are accepted and to whose judgments people defer—were Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyab, ʿUrwah, al-Qāsim, Abū Bakr ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, Khārijah ibn Zayd, ʿUbayd Allah ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUtbah, and Sulaymān ibn Yasār, together with other distinguished elders of similar standing, all men of fiqh, piety, and excellence.” ⦗1⦘
