Ali, his two sons, and Fatimah, and then said, “I am at war with whoever wars against you and at peace with whoever is at peace with you.”
Al-Tayālisī, in his Musnad (1), recorded: ʿAmr ibn Thābit narrated to us, from Abū Fākhtah, who said:
Ali reported: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited us and spent the night in our house while al-Hasan and al-Husayn were asleep. Al-Hasan became thirsty, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went to a waterskin and gave him a drink. Al-Husayn reached out to drink, but he withheld it from him and began with al-Hasan. Fatimah said, ‘Messenger of Allah! It is as though he is the one you love most!’ He replied, ‘No, but he asked for water first.’ Then he added, ‘On the Day of Resurrection I, you, and these two will stand together in one place.’ And, I think he also said, ‘and Ali as well.’
Baqiyyah narrated from Baḥīr, from Khālid ibn Maʿdān, from al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdīkarib, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, “Hasan is from me, and Husayn is from Ali.” (2)
It was transmitted by three narrators from him, and its chain is strong (3).
Ibn ʿAwn narrated from ʿUmayr ibn Isḥāq, who said:
“I was with al-Hasan when Abū Hurayrah met us. He said, ‘Show me the spot that I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kiss.’ So he lifted his shirt (4), and Abū Hurayrah kissed his navel (5).”
