This is a singular hadith. It is transmitted only by Sahl—who is reliable, God willing—and it also appears in the Amali of Ibn Shamʿun, through Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Salm, from Hafs al-Rabalī (1).
His Musnad comprises 5,374 hadiths. Of these, 326 are agreed upon by both al-Bukhari and Muslim. Al-Bukhari alone records 93, while Muslim alone records 98.
(1) The word is pronounced with a fatha on the letter ra and an un-geminated baa; it designates Hafs ibn Amr mentioned in the chain of transmission, a trustworthy and devout narrator listed in the biographical work Tahdhib.
