Among his early miracles:
Yunus ibn Bukayr reports from Ibn Ishaq: ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿAbd Allah ibn Abi Sufyan ibn al-Alaʾ ibn Jariyah al-Thaqafi told me, on the authority of certain scholars, that when Allah wished to honor His Messenger and inaugurate him with prophethood, he would not pass by a stone or a tree without it greeting him, and he would hear its salutation. Each year he would withdraw for one month to the cave of Hirāʾ, devoting himself there to worship.
Simak ibn Harb narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “I still recognize a stone in Mecca that used to greet me before I was commissioned.” Muslim recorded this report.
Al-Walid ibn Abi Thawrah and others transmitted from Ismaʿil al-Suddi, from ʿAbbad ibn ʿAbd Allah, from ʿAli—may Allah be pleased with him—who said, “I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in Mecca when he went out to one of its outskirts; every tree and mountain he approached said, ‘Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.’” Al-Tirmidhi collected this narration and said, “It is gharib.”
Yusuf ibn Yaʿqub al-Qadi said: Abu al-Rabiʿ narrated to us, Abu Muʿawiyah informed us, from al-Aʿmash, from Abu Sufyan, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: “Gabriel came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was leaving Mecca, after the Meccans had stained him with blood. Gabriel asked, ‘What has happened to you?’ He replied, ‘These people have covered me with blood; they did such-and-such.’”
