He then looked at the wound in my mother’s shoulder and said, “Your mother, your mother—bind up her wound. O Allah, make them my companions in Paradise.” I said, “After that, nothing that happens to me in this world concerns me.”⦗1⦘

Mūsā ibn Ḍamrah ibn Saʿīd related from his father: ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb was once presented with a collection of cloaks, among which was an excellent one, so he sent it to Umm ʿUmārah.⦗2⦘

Shuʿbah narrated from Ḥabīb ibn Zayd al-Anṣārī, from a woman, from Umm ʿUmārah, who said: “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us, and we offered him some food while one of those present was fasting. The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘When food is eaten in the presence of a fasting person, the angels invoke blessings upon him.’”⦗3⦘

Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyā ibn Ḥabbān said: “Umm ʿUmārah suffered twelve wounds at Uhud. Her hand was severed at the Battle of Yamāmah, and in addition to that she received eleven other wounds on the same day. She returned to Medina still carrying those injuries, and Abū Bakr—may Allah be pleased with him—was seen during his caliphate visiting her to enquire about her condition.”⦗4⦘
