Kuhayl, from his father, from Abū al-Zarra’, from Ibn Masʿūd, who related that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said—then he quoted the same report in full.

Yahyā ibn Yaʿlā said: Zāʾidah narrated to us, from Manṣūr, from Zayd ibn Wahb, from ʿAbd Allāh, who said:
“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared, ‘I am satisfied for my community with whatever Ibn Umm ʿAbd is satisfied for it.’⦗1⦘”

Al-Thawrī and Isrāʾīl also transmitted it on the authority of Manṣūr, who reported it from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān as a mursal report.

Ibn ʿUyaynah gave the same account—from Abū al-ʿUmays, from al-Qāsim—likewise as a mursal report.⦗2⦘

Abū Aḥmad Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Farrāʾ said: “Jaʿfar ibn ʿAwn narrated to us, from al-Masʿūdī, from Jaʿfar ibn ʿAmr ibn Ḥuraith, from his father, who stated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, ‘I have approved for you what Ibn Umm ʿAbd has approved for you.’⦗3⦘”

Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān informed us; ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad the jurist narrated to us; Hibah Allāh ibn al-Ḥasan al-Daqqāq narrated to us; Abū al-Faḍl ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAlī narrated to us in the year 484 AH; Abū al-Ḥusayn ibn Bishrān informed us; Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr informed us; ʿAbbās ibn Muḥammad narrated to us; Abū ʿAttāb Sahl ibn Ḥammād narrated to us; Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Muʿāwiyah ibn Qurrah, from his father, who said:
