39 – Abu Dujanah al-Ansari, Simak ibn Kharashah ibn Lawdhan ibn ʿAbd Wudd ibn Zayd al-Saʿidi.
On the Day of Uhud he wore a red head-band.

Al-Waqidi stated: “Abu Dujanah stood his ground at Uhud alongside the Prophet ﷺ and pledged to fight to the death.”
He was also among those who helped kill Musaylimah the Liar and was martyred on that very day (2).
Muḥammad ibn Saʿd said: “Abu Dujanah has descendants in Medina and in Baghdad to this day.”
Zayd ibn Aslam related: “We visited Abu Dujanah when he was ill, and his face was shining.”
He was asked, “Why is your face so radiant?”
He replied, “There are two deeds on which I rely most: I never spoke about matters that did not concern me, and my heart has always been free of ill-will toward the Muslims (3).”
