an Alexandrian Shafiʿi, counted among the foremost imams. He narrated from Ismaʿil ibn ʿAwf and others, and a number of students studied jurisprudence under him. Among those who transmitted from him were al-Dimyati and al-Mundhiri. He died in Jumada al-Ula (1), 641 AH.
70 – ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿAbd al-Haqq ibn Sharf al-Islam ʿAbd al-Wahhab ibn the shaykh Abu l-Faraj Ibn al-Hanbali, the jurist Abu l-Wafaʾ.
He related the Arbaʿin from al-Silafi and also narrated from Ahmad ibn al-Mawazini, and for some time served as imam in the Rammahin Mosque.
Those who reported from him include Ibn al-Khallal, Ibn Musharraf, and ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn al-Isfarayini.
He died in Jumada al-Akhirah (2), 641 AH.

رَوَى عَنْ: إِسْمَاعِيْلَ بنِ عَوْفٍ، وَجَمَاعَةٍ.
وَتَفَقَّهَ بِهِ جَمَاعَةٌ.
وَحَدَّثَ عَنْهُ: الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ، وَالمُنْذِرِيُّ.
مَاتَ: فِي جُمَادَى الأُوْلَى (١) ، سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَأَرْبَعِيْنَ وَسِتِّ مائَةٍ.
٧٠ - عَبْدُ المَلِكِ بنُ عَبْدِ الحَقِّ
ابْنُ شَرَفِ الإِسْلاَمِ عَبْدِ الوَهَّابِ ابْنِ الشَّيْخِ أَبِي الفَرَجِ ابْن الحَنْبَلِيِّ، الفَقِيْهُ أَبُو الوَفَاءِ.
حَدَّثَ عَنِ السِّلَفِيِّ (بِالأَرْبَعِيْنَ) ، وَعَنْ أَحْمَدَ ابْنِ المَوَازِيْنِيِّ، وَأَمَّ زَمَاناً بِمَسْجِدِ الرَّمَّاحِيْنَ.
حَدَّثَنَا عَنْهُ: ابْنُ الخَلاَّلِ، وَابْنُ مُشَرِّفٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَانِ بنُ الإِسْفَرَايِيْنِيِّ.
مَاتَ: فِي جُمَادَى الآخِرَةِ (٢) ، سَنَةَ إِحْدَى وَأَرْبَعِيْنَ وَسِتِّ مائَةٍ.
