“I saw in a dream that al-Muʾayyad al-Ṭūsī had died and we had buried him. When the people departed, the grave split open, fire poured out of it, and he cried, ‘O Muḥibb, do you not see the state I am in?’ I asked, ‘Why has this befallen you?’ He replied, ‘For having taken gold in return for the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.’”
