Al-Qāsim ibn ʿAsākir states: He died on the last day of Ramaḍān in 578 AH and was buried on the day of ʿĪd in a cemetery he had established beside the Ṣūfī graveyard to the west of Damascus.
I add: He also built a mosque and dedicated his library as a charitable endowment—may Allah have mercy on him.
