At the close of the original manuscript the following words are found:

"The eleventh volume has been brought to completion—praise be to Allah Most High, through His help and His gracious enabling.

May Allah bless our master Muḥammad, his family, and his Companions, and grant them abundant peace. The work was concluded on Monday night, twelve nights remaining in the month of Dhu al-Ḥijjah, in the year 741 AH.

This is the first copy to be transcribed from the author’s own handwriting, and the next volume—if Allah Most High so wills—will begin with Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Baghawī, known as al-Dabbās."
