Siyar Aʿlām al-NubalāʾShams al‑Din al‑Dhahabi

Al-Muʾammal ibn Muḥammad and al-Musallam ibn ʿAllān wrote to us, stating:
“Zayd ibn Ḥasan informed us; ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad informed us; Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī, the ḥāfiẓ, informed us; Abū Naṣr ʿAlī ibn Hibat Allāh related to me; Abū Ibrāhīm Aḥmad ibn al-Qāsim al-ʿAlawī narrated to us; Abū al-Fatḥ Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAlī narrated to us; Mūsā ibn Naṣr ibn Jarīr narrated to us; Isḥāq al-Ḥanẓalī informed us; ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us; Bakkār ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated—
Ibn Abī Mulaykah said, ‘I heard ʿĀʾishah say:

“There was a woman with me who was letting me listen (to her voice). The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered while she was doing so. Then ʿUmar came in and she grew uneasy, whereupon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laughed. ʿUmar said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what makes you laugh?’ He told him, and ʿUmar replied, ‘By Allah, I will not leave until I hear what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard.’ So she let him hear it.”’

Al-Khaṭīb (1) said: “Abū al-Fatḥ is devoid of reliability, and I suspect that ‘Mūsā ibn Naṣr’ is a name he invented.”

أَخْبَرَنَا المُؤَمَّلُ بنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَالمُسَلَّم بن عَلاَّنَ كِتَابَةً قَالاَ: أَخْبَرَنَا زَيْدُ بنُ حَسَن، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بنُ عَلِيٍّ الحَافِظ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَصْرٍ عَلِيُّ بنُ هِبَةِ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِبْرَاهِيْمَ أَحْمَدُ بنُ القَاسِمِ العَلَوِيّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الفَتْحِ إِبْرَاهِيْمُ بنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوْسَى بنُ نَصْر بنِ جَرِيْر، أَخْبَرْنَا إِسْحَاقُ الحَنْظَلِيّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكَّارُ بنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي مُلَيْكَة، سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَة تَقُوْلُ: كَانَتْ عِنْدِي امْرَأَة تُسْمِعُنِي، فَدَخَلَ رَسُوْل اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ عَلَى تِلْكَ الحَالَة، ثمَّ دَخَلَ عُمَر فَفَرِقَتْ، فَضَحِكَ رَسُوْل اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: مَا يُضْحِكُكَ يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ!؟ فَحَدَّثَه، فَقَالَ: وَاللهِ لاَ أَخرجُ حَتَّى أَسْمَعَ مَا سَمِعَ رَسُوْل اللهِ ﷺ. فَأَسْمَعَتْهُ. قَالَ الخَطِيْبُ (١) :أَبُو الفَتْحِ سَاقطُ الرِّوَايَة، وَأَحسب مُوْسَى بن نَصْر اسْماً اخْتلَقَهُ. ٢٩٩ - ابْنُ أَبِي الصَّقْرِ مُحَمَّدُ بنُ أَحْمَدَ بنِ مُحَمَّدٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ * الإِمَامُ، المُحَدِّثُ، الخَطِيْبُ، أَبُو طَاهِرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بنُ أَحْمَدَ بنِ مُحَمَّدِ بنِ إِسْمَاعِيْلَ بنِ أَبِي الصَّقْرِ اللَّخْمِيُّ الأَنْبَارِيُّ. سَمِعْنَا (مشيخَتَهُ) فِي جُزْأَيْنِ. سَمِعَ: عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بنَ أَبِي نَصْرٍ التّمِيمِيّ، وَأَبَا نَصْر بن الحبَّانِ، وَعَبْدَ الوَهَّابِ بن عَبْدِ اللهِ المُرِّيّ، وَطَائِفَةٌ بِدِمَشْقَ، وَأَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ بنَ
