Those who narrated from him were: ʿUmar ibn Ibrāhīm al-Zaydī, Muḥammad ibn Tarkhān, Abū al-Qāsim Ibn al-Samarkandī, and others.

Narrators from him include: Abū al-Ghanāʾim al-Narsī and a number of others, the last of whom to die was Abū al-Ḥasan Ibn Ghabara.
Al-Narsī said, “He is trustworthy, one of al-Ḥākim’s upright transmitters.” He passed away in Shaʿbān of the year 476 AH.
