Those who narrated from her include: Muhammad ibn Tahir, Wajih al-Shahami, Abu al-Fath Muhammad ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Shirazi, ʿAbd al-Jabbar ibn Abi Saʿd al-Dahhan, Abu al-Waqt ʿAbd al-Awwal al-Sijzi, and many others—the last of them to die was ʿAbd al-Jalil ibn Abi Saʿd al-Muʿaddal, whom the ḥadith master ʿAbd al-Qadir al-Ruhawi met.
Abu ʿAli al-Haddad likewise transmits in his Muʿjam from Thabit ibn Tahir, who in turn relates from her.
Abu Saʿd al-Samʿani said: “She was from the village of Bakhsha, one post-stage from Herat. She was righteous and chaste. She possessed a fascicle of the hadith of Ibn Abi Shurayh that was unique to her, and crowds beyond counting heard it from her. She was born around the year 380 AH.”
He then added: “She died about the year 475 AH.”
I say: She lived until 477 (1) AH and passed away in 510 AH.
Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Zahiri and a group informed us, saying:
“ʿAbd Allah ibn ʿUmar related to us, and Ahmad ibn Ishaq likewise related to us, that Zakariyya al-ʿUlabi informed us; they both said:
Abu al-Waqt narrated to us; Bībī al-Harthamiyyah narrated to us; ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad narrated to us; ʿAbd Allah al-Baghawi narrated to us; Muṣʿab al-Zubayri narrated to us; Malik narrated to me, from Nafiʿ, from Ibn ʿUmar:
‘The Messenger of Allah—may Allah bless him and grant him peace—ordered the amputation for a shield whose price was (2) three dirhams (3).’
