The venerable musnid and scholar, Abu Yaʿla Ishaq ibn ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Ahmad al-Naysaburi, known as al-Sabuni, the brother of the aforementioned Shaykh al-Islam Abu ʿUthman (3).
Like his brother, he heard hadith from: Abu Saʿid ʿAbd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab al-Razi; Abu Tahir ibn Khuzayma; al-Hasan ibn Ahmad al-Makhladi; Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Qanṭari al-Khaffaf; Abu Muʿadh al-Shah; Abu Tahir al-Mukhlis; ʿAbd al-Rahman ibn Abi Shurayh al-Harawi, and several others.
