It is firmly established that Ibn ʿAbbās said: “Al-Kawthar is the abundant good that Allah granted him.” Saʿīd ibn Jubayr transmitted this and added: “The river that is in Paradise is part of that abundant good.”
A sound narration from ʿĀʾishah states: “Al-Kawthar is a river in Paradise that was given to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; its bank is lined with hollow pearls.”
She is also reported to have said: “Whoever wishes to hear the gurgling of al-Kawthar should place his two fingers in his ears.”
An authentic report from Anas relates that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “On the Day of Resurrection I will have the largest following of any prophet, and I will be the first to intercede.”
It is likewise soundly transmitted from Abū Hurayrah that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Every prophet was given miracles through which people believed, and the miracle granted to me is revelation that Allah has sent down to me. Therefore, I hope to have the greatest number of followers on the Day of Resurrection.”
Sulaymān al-Taymī narrated—through Siyyār—from Abū Umāmah—that the Prophet ﷺ said, “Allah has preferred me over the prophets, or (he said) my community over all other communities, with four distinctions: He sent me to all humanity; He made the entire earth for my community a place of prayer and a means of purification, so wherever a man of my community is overtaken by the time of prayer, there lies his mosque and his purification; I have been aided with awe—fear is cast into the hearts of my enemies a month’s march ahead of me; and spoils of war have been made lawful for us.” Its chain of transmission is ḥasan, and Siyyār is reliable; Aḥmad recorded it in his Musnad.
Saʿīd ibn Bashīr narrated—through Qatādah—from Anas—that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “I have been distinguished above the people by four traits: courage, generosity, frequency of marital relations, and forcefulness in combat.”
