Siyar Aʿlām al-NubalāʾShams al‑Din al‑Dhahabi

He had been born in 360 AH, and I never saw him transmit anything while he was in Syria.

448 – al-Khaffāf, Abū al-Qāsim ʿUmar ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn Ibrāhīm*
The shaykh, musnid, and trustworthy narrator: Abū al-Qāsim ʿUmar ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn Ibrāhīm al-Baghdādī, known as al-Khaffāf.
He heard hadith from Abū Ḥafṣ ibn al-Zayyāt, Muḥammad ibn al-Muẓaffar, Abū al-Faḍl al-Zuhrī, and a number of others.
Those who narrated from him include al-Khaṭīb, the bimaristān judge Abū Bakr, and a group besides them.
He died in 450 AH, and no criticism is attached to him.

449 – Ḥakam ibn Muḥammad ibn Ḥakam ibn Ifrānk al-Judhāmī**
The shaykh, long-lived elder, and musnid of al-Andalus: Abū al-ʿĀṣ al-Judhāmī of Córdoba.
He related hadith from Abū Bakr ibn al-Muhandis, Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAlī al-Tammār, ʿAbd al-Munʿim ibn Ghalbūn—who recited to him—Yūsuf ibn Aḥmad ibn al-Dakhīl, Abū Muḥammad ibn Abī Zayd, ʿAbbās ibn Aṣbagh, Khalaf ibn al-Qāsim, Hāshim ibn Yaḥyā, and several others.
In Toledo he also met ʿAbdūs ibn Muḥammad.
His journey eastward and his pilgrimage took place in 381 AH.
