Al-ʿAlāʾ ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān transmitted—through his father—from Abū Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“I have been distinguished above the prophets in six ways: I have been granted concise speech; I have been supported by awe; war-booty has been made lawful for me; the whole earth has been rendered for me a means of purification and a mosque; I have been sent to all created beings; and with me the line of prophethood has been sealed.” Muslim recorded it.

Mālik ibn Mighwal related, from al-Zubayr ibn ʿAddī, from Murrah al-Hamdānī, from ʿAbd Allāh, who said: “When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the Night Journey and reached the Lote-tree of the Furthest Boundary, he was granted three things: the five prescribed prayers, the closing verses of Sūrah al-Baqarah, and the promise that anyone of his community who does not associate anything with Allah would have the grave sins forgiven.” (The verb taqaḥḥama means “to be hurled into the Fire.”) The ḥadīth is sound.

Abū ʿAwānah narrated: Abū Mālik told us, from Ribʿī, from Ḥudhayfah, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ declared: “I have been given superiority over the people in three matters: the entire earth has been made for us a place of prayer; its soil has been made for us a means of purification; and our rows (in prayer) have been aligned like the rows of the angels. I have also been given these verses at the end of Sūrah al-Baqarah, from a treasure beneath the Throne.” Sound.

Bishr ibn Bakr narrated from al-Awzāʿī, who said: Abū ʿAmmār told me—his name is Shaddād—from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Furūkh, from Abū Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I am the leader of the children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection; I shall be the first for whom the earth will be split open; the first intercessor; and the first whose intercession will be accepted.” Muslim recorded it.

Abū Ḥayyān al-Taymī narrated, through Abū Zurʿah, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought some meat; the foreleg—which he favored—was presented to him, and he took a bite from it,
