al-Mathwā, another known as al-Mutathannā, a spear named al-Bayḍāʾ, and a smaller one resembling a walking-stick.
He ﷺ also possessed a chain-mail helmet taken from the arms of Banū Qaynuqāʿ and another helmet called al-Sabūgh.
His banner was a black, square standard of plush, striped cloth, known as al-ʿUqāb (the Eagle). Abū Dāwūd relates—through Simāk ibn Ḥarb, from a man of his clan, from another—who said: “I saw the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; it was yellow, and his flags were white. At times he added black to them, and sometimes they were fashioned from the shawls of some of his wives.”
His pavilion was called al-Kann.
He owned a hooked staff about a cubit long, or a little more, which he used when walking or riding and which he would hang in front of him on his camel.
He also had a short walking-stick called al-ʿUrjūn, and a slender rod named al-Mamshūq.
The cup he used was called al-Rayyān. In addition, he had another cup, banded with metal, that held a little more than half a mudd.
Ibn Sīrīn narrated from Anas that the Prophet’s ﷺ cup cracked, so he fastened a silver chain across the break; al-Bukhārī recorded this report.
He owned a glass cup; a stone basin from which he often performed ablution; and a dyeing bowl made of pewter.
He also had a leather water-skin called al-Ṣādirah, a brass washing vessel, and a small casket presented by al-Muqawqis in which he kept a mirror, an ivory comb, a kohl container, scissors, and a tooth-stick.
