Ibn Sīrīn added, “It had an iron ring, and Anas wanted to replace it with one of silver or gold. Abu Talhah said to him, ‘Do not change anything the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fashioned,’ so he left it as it was.” Al-Bukhārī recorded this.

It is also narrated from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to comb his beard frequently, but the chain of transmission is weak.
