Isḥāq ibn al-Muqtadir al-ʿAbbāsī, at the age of eighty-six; Ṭalḥa ibn al-Ṣaqr al-Kattānī (1); ʿAlī ibn ʿAbdakuyah (2), the imām; Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq al-Muʿallim—he had heard from al-ʿAssāl—; al-Ḥasan ibn Aḥmad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Firās (3) in Mecca; the judge ʿAbd al-Wahhāb (4), chief of the Mālikīs; Muḥammad ibn Yūsuf al-Qaṭṭān (5), the ḥadīth scholar; Yaḥyā ibn ʿAmmār (6), the preacher; and Abū al-Ḥasan Yaḥyā ibn Najāḥ (7) al-Qurṭubī, author of Subul al-Khayrāt (Paths of Good Works).
