and al-Ḥākim, as well as Jaʿfar ibn Muḥammad al-Mustaghfirī and others.
Al-Mustaghfirī said, “To the best of my knowledge, he is today the foremost ḥadīth memoriser in Transoxiana.” (1)
Al-Ḥākim remarked, “Abū Naṣr al-Kalābādhī the scribe is one of the ḥuffāẓ. His grasp and understanding are excellent, and he is well-versed in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī. He passed away in Jumada al-Ākhirah of the year 398 AH.
Al-Ḥākim added, “In Transoxiana he left no one comparable to him.” (2)

Al-Salafī stated, “Khalid ibn ʿAbd al-Wāḥid, the merchant of Isfahan, read to us the book al-Irshād fī Maʿrifat Rijāl al-Bukhārī; ʿAbd al-Malik ibn al-Ḥasan ibn Siyāwush al-Kāzarūnī transmitted it to us from its author, Abū Naṣr.” (4)
